King of Nothing is a one person, one sock puppet mangling of King Lear inspired by the environmental collapse of our post-Amazon age that explores the viability of text stripped of its original context and structure. They graduated from Ohio University with a BFA in performance and trained with The American Mime Theater. Besides creating their own solo work They are also a Line Producer and Performer with SCOWL, a Queer and Trans-centric, stage combat comedy show. Tyler Riley [he/him] (The Transmission) is an actor, director, and the current artistic director of Company of Fools, an indie theatre based in NYC. His past roles include Ajax (Ajax), Bodure (Ubu Roix), Julian (Plucker), and Elliot in the NY premiere of The Promised Land. Tyler will next be seen on stage in FRIGID New York's Fringe Festival as J.J. Williams in Kingfish. Outside of his artistic endeavors, Tyler serves as the digital and dance programs manager at TDF. Robert Malbrough [he/him] (Director/Designer) is a Brooklyn-based director, noodle maker, and occasional designer. Recent work includes Morbin' Time, The Holy Ghost People, An Apology for the Course and Outcome of Certain Events Delivered by Doctor John Faustus on This His Final Evening, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and his own Obie Award-losing video collage adaptation of Ubu Roix. His work has been seen at Edinburgh Fringe, The Brick, The Tank, Target Margin, Abingdon Theatre Company, Caveat, the stage door of the Al Hirschfeld, and various crypts, warehouses, bars, and computer screens.
