| I enjoyed the joke... but I don't see it being based in actual truth, but more an easy joke that seems like it could be true about musicals but not often is, and it isn't even true about the song it's taking off of, "Corner of the Sky" which is not nonsensical, certainly not in the way "doorway to where" is. And it's definitely not equally bizarre as "jaded mandarin", which I think everyone who's listened to that JCS song or performed in the show can laugh about having been baffled by. If there are a lot of other musical theater songs with nonsensical titles and main ideas, bring em on! I could easily be wrong. |
