| The conflict that has led to this strike is between the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, neither of whom have jurisdiction over Broadway or any other kind of theater. Actors Equity members refusing to perform on Broadway would hold no sway with AMPTP. The problem with the Tonys is that they are on TV which means it is produced/broadcast by AMPTP members and written by WGA members. |
