In the original, she says this to Fagin (with Sikes and Dodger also there), "I thieved for you when I was a child, half his age and for twelve years since. Don't you forget it!" Sikes says, "Well, if you have it's your living."

In the revision, this is changed to, "I was out on the streets for you when I was a child half his age, and I've been in the same trade, the same service for fifteen years since and don't you forget it!" Sikes then says, "Well, what if you have? It's your living, ain't it?"
