AlanScott, thank you as always for your huge wealth of information! So it seems that in the original text, Nancy never says she's a prostitute (so it wasn't my Drama teacher's censoring!).
I didn't realize that there's an implication in the revised script that Nancy was very, very young when she started, if she was half Oliver's age when she began. If Oliver is 10 (does the text give his age?), then she was five when she started and is 20 now. |
