One notable thing about the performance of Grey House I attended - there was no standing ovation at the curtain call. At least none that I could see. This has got to be the first Broadway production I’ve seen in years where there wasn’t an automatic standing O at the curtain call.

I had a great TDF seat in the front row of the mezzanine. I didn’t see anyone in the mezz near me standing or in the front of the orchestra either.

As for the play itself, I have very mixed feelings. It tries to go for outright horror but is more creepy than scary. It’s definitely dark. Of course, Laurie Metcalf is great. The cast is strong, and the production is effectively designed and directed. But the play itself? I have to think about it some more.
