| I fully agree, and expressed similar thoughts on Twitter, with some grousing and pushback. The knee-jerk blaming of the WGA sidesteps a reality: the creative unions thrive with solidarity; AEA folk are picketing with SAG-AFTRA. It's heartening. Full disclosure, however: I'm a lifetime member of the WGA, indebted to its benefits (and now pension) and own my bias. Yet it's one industry, and the shared commitment has been noted by greater minds than mine. |
