| I was enchanted. This is not a Broadway production. Perhaps your expectations are for a Broadway production with weeks of rehearsal and a large budget for sets and costumes. Dicken’s world is one of extremes. High and low comedy and melodrama as well ass horror and sentimentality. It far exceeded the nineties revival which was a full service version starring the original Fagin( who walked through the performance I saw). |
