| I was watching the Michael J. Fox documentary, Still, and a clip from Life With Mikey flashed on the screen and I thought, "I'll watch that again." It was released in '93, and is directed by James Lapine. I had forgotten what a parade of theater people appear in it! Besides Nathan Lane as Fox's brother, I've spotted Christine Baranski, Victor Garber, Laura Bell Bundy (as a girl), Kathryn Grody, and Kate Burton and Dylan Baker so far, and IMDB tells me that Christopher Durang, Mandy Patinkin, and many others are still to come. It's certainly not a great movie, but if you're in the mood for something really light or for spotting all your favorite actors it's worth a visit. There are also a lot of nods to theater of the period in posters on the wall, in Times Square, etc. I'm enjoying it! |
