Unlike all the men the OP referred to.

I agree there is a familiarity and shorthand that is not at all rooted in sexism ... but I also think most people default to referring to Ms. DeBessonet as Lear because they're typing quickly and don't remember how her last name is spelled nor do they want to look it up. (I have referred to her MANY times here and I still have to look up the spalling of her last name - I'm not even sure how it's pronounced, I assume De-Bess-o-nay, I've never had to say it out loud. It's a fantastic name, but not for shorthand on internet chat boards)
