| I thought Pajack sang the best "Where Is Lover?" I've ever heard. He started out so soft and vulnerable and built to an emotional climax that was absolutely gosebump inducing. You could have heard a pin drop in that theater while he sang it. And when it was over.....HOLY COW!!! The audience nearly blew the roof off the place. That is what you call "Stopping the Show"! I've seen many regional, and of course community theater productions of OLIVER!, and I even saw the Cameron Mackintosh version in its non-Equity tour back around 2003 (with another fantastic Oliver, Justin Pereira). But this one was just leaps and bounds above all the others. And the audience absolutely loved it. Quite simply a wonderful production. |
