The size of the orchestra you need will depend on the size of the theater, the complexity of the music, and your budget. A typical Broadway musical orchestra has between 20 and 30 musicians. However, some musicals, such as The Lion King, have much larger orchestras, while others, such as A Chorus Line, have much smaller orchestras.
