I fully support the WGA, but streaming has changed the equation. In the days of linear broadcast if a show flopped it was cancelled and never seen again. Now when they're made for streaming people expect them to stay around forever which costs the studios money. The writers need to be more fairly compensated on the front end and residuals should be high enough so that when shows are removed from streaming services it's not a hit to the writers and other creatives.
