At a glance, I recognize many of these as Disney properties (including series). The question here was very specific to Howard, which does not fall into that category so far as I can tell. I am not sure what the basis of your belief is, and your post is still confusing. (You mentioned scripted shows but all of these shows are scripted. Do you think Howard materialized without a script?)
There is a great deal of precedent for changing platforms of non-owned properties as well as syndicating and licensing owned properties. This goes back to the early days of broadcast TV. There are a lot of names on your list that I do not recognize and it would not surprise me if many/most of them have no future life for lack of interest. (Similarly, most TV shows have never been picked up, not because they were unavailable, but because there was simply no interest.) A series that is quickly cancelled is likely to die on the vine. |
