I saw it off-Broadway. I agree it was a hoot. Am I remembering correctly that she was a nun singing to a slot machine? Singed Sealed Delivered (I'm Yours)?

I could be way off, It's been a while.

Jennifer Simard played a nun who had a gambling addiction. I saw her in the Broadway version and remember her hugging the slot machine after the earthquake hit. She sang "Torn Between Two Lovers" and other songs in Disaster! and was hilarious.

All together I've seen Simard in 6 Broadway shows and 3 off-Broadway ones. She was particularly memorable in Company, Hello, Dolly!, Mean Girls, Disaster!, and two editions of Forbidden Broadway. I believe she was in the tour of Spamilton, but when I caught it in Chicago, she had already departed the show.

I can't speak to Jennifer or the tour, but SPAMILTON in Chicago was a sit-down production with it's own cast. Christine Pedi appeared as a guest star for the first few weeks but other than that, it was all Chicago talent.

OK, that's right. I tend to get Pedi and Simard mixed up. The original advertising for the Chicago Spamilton strongly emphasized Pedi's participation. I'm sure that was done to make it seem like it was a tour rather than a local production. When Royal and I saw it on 4/23/2017, I recognized the cast as being all from Chicago. Looking at the Playbill credits now, it certainly looks like the show is a stop on a national tour.

Anyway it was a top notch production. The cast was uniformly brilliant.

I forgot she was in Hello Dolly. Her performance there was a little too much for my taste, but I've enjoyed her in everything else I've seen her in.

I knew Simard in a previous life as a nun - as a wonderfully daffy Sister Amnesia during the long run of Nunsense in Boston ending in the mid-90's. I music directed the last 3 years of that run, and she was a memorable part of that experience. It's wonderful to see where she's gone since.
