| A dreadful movie. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but during the final kicks in One, a female dancer (I think on the on the right side of the screen) falls. I only know this because one of my local bars plays the clip frequently as part of their Musicals night. It's so odd to see such big mistake left in a film. |

| Thank god it wasn't me! But I did get to see the back of my head at the beginning of the film walking out of the stage door. I remember getting a note from the A.D. (supposedly passed on from Attenborough} that I shouldn't look too upset about being cut from the audition. Riiiiiight. I smiled after every audition I got cut from. LOL | |

| Oh, that was meant to set up the sequel, focusing on the anonymous chorine and what happened after that awful opening night. Alas, the film was never released. The trailer went something like this, to be read in a booming deep voice. In the hard scrabble world of Broadway dancers, it’s tough to get noticed. Trixie knows that all too well. She was there, with Cassie and Paul and Val and Diana, as they told their stories at that fabled audition. Yet every time she tried to say something to Zach, he looked past her….AS IF SHE WASN’T THERE! The other dancers didn’t hear A WORD SHE SAID! Trixie’s grasp on reality BEGAN TO FALTER! She no longer thought of herself as Trixie, but DANCER X! In desperation, she determined to make herself KNOWN TO ALL! During the elaborate production number, she would DELIBERATELY FALL! Surely, surely, the entire opening night audience would SEE HER AT LAST! Don’t miss the chilling horror that follows her fatal decision in… DANCER X: ONE SINGULAR PHANTASM! Laura in LA, who figures this low budget horror flick likely would have been more interesting than the ACL film… |
