I don't post often, but I've been around a long time. It took me a minute to think how far back. I moved to NYC on Sept 1 2001. I remember processing much of the trauma of 09/11 by reading this board because I really didn't have a community here yet. Someone posted comps for an off-broadway show as a way of moving back into the world after 9/11. I can't remember the name of it now, something about "Home". I took advantage of those and it's a core memory for me about starting to heal after 09/11. By then I had already been here for quite a bit. I vaguely remember being and intern with the Signature Theater in DC and reading ATC. That must have been 2000 or so. Maybe earlier.

I’m trying to remember how I knew about TB/ATC. I moved to San Diego from DC to take a job where I got a substantial bump in salary. I missed DC theatre, so I might have known about this board before I moved. Because I had some money to spare, I started buying tickets to theatre. My job was stressful, so I’m sure that going to the theater (and then writing about it) was both a stress reliever and a way of staying in contact with what was going on in DC. I must have known about ATC before I moved. Bill, in San Diego
