Wasn’t THE PIRATE QUEEN on Live From Lincoln Center? Or am I thinking of another bombastic flop historical musical, A TALE OF TWO CITIES?
I just recall that our local LA PBS station opted not to air it, and instead ran that “Magic Moments” fifties doo-wop special that seemingly was broadcast every other week.
