| Prima Facie is doing a special Friday matinee performance on May 26 with understudy Dani Arlington. Tickets are free via a signup on the show's website. Any idea why the production would be doing this? It seems odd to do a free performance since it won't be free for the producers to add an extra show. And the show itself is not struggling and certainly is getting plenty of positive press. It's a strange choice, but great for Dani who is making her Broadway debut! | |

| They did a similar thing in London (where the entire run was sold out long before it opened) giving it lots of publicity including proper production photographs and billing it as a special matinee performance starring Dani Arlington as Tess - rather than an understudy run. Dani has been with this production from the beginning and even though it's a one-woman show the producers and writer (and Jodie Comer) have been very clear that they view it as a team project. So it's no surprise that they've given Dani the opportunity to play the role again - this time on Broadway. | |

| This is not actually a costly thing for them to do. They have only scheduled 7 performances this week, so the open understudy performance is the 8th. All their costs remain the same, they just lose one performance's income ... they are selling well enough that the $110,000 they lose from the Tuesday night show they are not doing will not cause them any distress. | |

| Jodie Comer is doing her regular eight performance week. The understudy performance is a ninth performance. | |
