| I talked about her with friends in person or by phone all day long. I felt no need to post to the folks on this or any board. People show respect and admiration in a myriad of ways. | |

| I appreciate when you (or someone) posts about deaths in case some have not yet heard, but I'd hope that you could appreciate that it is not everyone's impulse to post a personal expression here (or anywhere) and that many here read and post in various places and should not be obliged to post their thoughts everywhere on every significant death. I first saw her live (with Ike) when I was about 10 and that Proud Mary will stay with me forever. | |

| As was said, we just had a Broadway musical about her. Also- it frustrated me because no one responded to the news of Todd Haimes' death either and he gave most of his life to the theatre! | |

| Well, maybe you should stop policing people's responses. It is not a reflection on "this place" or individual posters if number of responses does not rise to your desired standard. Not all of us buy into the 'posts or it didn't happen' mentality of needing to prove one's social engagement... or one's grief. | |

| There were zero responses 8 hours after it was announced that she had died. I expected at least one. It's comforting to discuss topics with a message board. It was bizarre to me that no one wanted to talk about Tina. You seem to be overreacting to my posts though. Tone of voice is so hard to distinguish online. | |

| I am not sure why you refuse to acknowledge the notion that not everyone feels the need to "respond" on ATC to death announcements. There is, however, irony in what you say here. On the one hand you are "frustrated" (really?) by the lack of response for someone who "gave most of their life to the theatre" and yet you are seemingly equally frustrated at the lack of response for someone who wonderfully gave most of their life to something other than the theatre, and hardly any of it to the subject of this board. | |

| She did have a hit Broadway musical that told her life story and her songs. Rest in peace, Ms. Turner. A great performer, and from interviews I saw, she seemed like a lovely person too who endured, overcame and triumphed. |
