Has Rosie O'Donnell ever addressed why she wasn't in Funny Girl?

Back at the start of the pandemic on Seth Rudetsky's show she said she'd be playing the mother as soon as Broadway reopens and that the part of Fanny had been cast.
Funny that was the last I heard of it. She's wanted to play that role for a long time. Tried to get Lady Gaga to do the show a number of years ago.
