| Was A Beautiful Noise, in fact, a singalong? | |

| There was the inevitable singing along to Sweet Caroline (and perhaps one other, briefly), but not much. | |

| When I saw A BEAUTIFUL NOISE, there were indeed singalong times. But you are not in any way forced to sing along; it’s just during some of the “concert” moments. I must again assert that it is a fun show. Mark Jacoby does a lot of the emotional heavy-lifting as the older version of the protagonist. And I went on s Wednesday night when not Will Swenson (whom we all know is such a star from his stint in HAIR) but his alternate was on, and yet the show was just a very unpretentious, fun delight. It’s not THE GREAT WHITE HOPE, it’s not COMPANY; it’s a well-ordered bio-musical with very recognizable tuneful tunes and a strong supporting cast. | |

| I didn't see Woods so i don't know about Brian d'arcy james, but i feel Will Swenson was far more charismatic than Colton Ryan in NYNY and i really don't care for Christian Borle much in Hot. Josh Groban is an ok sweeney. I think Ben Platt and J. harrison Ghee deserve the nominations. | |

| Will Swenson definitely should have been nominated, he does an excellent job of being vulnerable yet charismatic, and he sings the heck out of those songs! | |
