| Saw this show on 11/20/2021 off-Broadway and found it to be powerful and very moving. I thought that Tesori's score worked beautifully. Just received the OBC recording CD. The songs are very book specific, but after listening to the CD, I have a much greater appreciation of Tesori and Lindsay-Abaire's achievement. Beautifully sung, especially by Victoria Clark, Justin Cooley, Alli Mauzey, and Bonnie Milligan. "Make a Wish", "Father Time", "How to Wash a Check", "Before I Go", and "Great Adventure" are particularly memorable. |
