I seem to remember that either David Merrick or Alexander H. Cohen , both legendary producers, had the musicians entertain in the bathrooms at intermission when he was forced to hire walkers that the show didn't need. Am I dreaming this, or did it really happen?
But probably 19 musicians wouldn't fit in the theater bathrooms at the Broadway if the show were forced to hire the "house minimum" for a largely electronic, manipulated set of tracks. |
