It's got an awful name, made worse by its logo, which has "once upon a' in tiny print above "ONE MORE TIME." Probably not a reason for doing badly at the BO, but it doesn't help.

I don’t think it’s terrible

I suppose they’re trying to emphasize their association with Britney Spears’ music. Her biggest hit, the title of her first album, and the show’s rousing opening number is called “…Baby One More Time.” (The “Once Upon a” links the show to its fairytale-based plot.)

I don’t think it’s a bad title at all.

I KNEW this was the Britney Spears jukebox musical and know her songs but until I just read your post i didn't get the Baby One More Time reference...I thought it was just a play on Once Upon A Time

It's an awkward hard to remember title and DOESN'T scream Britney Spears musical, which is the shows major selling point.

I actually like the title. I agree it's not obvious that it's a Britney Spears musical, but other jukebox musicals like Beautiful aren't that obvious, either. And I assume "Once Upon a One More Time" deliberately follows the inflection pattern of "Hit Me Baby One More Time." I imagine that there's a commercial coming in which a Britney sound-alike sings, "Once Upon a One More Time" to the backing arrangement and melody of ". . . One More Time" as the logo pops up.

The title also conveys that there's a fairy-tale aspect to it. I think Once Upon a One More Time's biggest problem is timing. & Juliet includes 5 of Britney's biggest songs, including "...One More Time," and some of the design of the two shows seems to have some similarities. & Juliet is more established in the Broadway marketplace right now, and Once Upon a One More Time may have an uphill climb.
