I imagine that the musicians who recorded the tracks are all being compensated for use of the recording in the show. I imagine its a worthwhile amount of$ $. Why not just pay 19 of them weekly AFM salaries instead ...? (I know - will never happen)
Lets say that AFM and the Producer agree to 10 musicians on payroll. With benefits & taxes and other things that's around $32,000 a week. The weekly cost of this show must be $600,000+. That extra $32,000 will not make or break this show.
Does anyone know what the current AFM position would be on the orchestrations and copying that were done for the recordings now being used in the show? |
