| From critics I know and a friend who bought tickets, I understand that the production was plagued by COVID. First one person, then several others. Critics had their tickets pulled and pulled again because actors were out. My friend's tickets were cancelled, too. Someone told me that ultimately the show only gave 11 performances. It's a very sad story, and I, too, have been a huge fan of Jonathan Cake, whom I first saw in Baby Doll in London in the 1990s. |
