| With the death of Cynthia Weil, I was reminded of seeing a wonderful, what we now call a "jukebox musical", at the Bottom Line in 1984 or 1985. The amazing company of singer/actors were awe-inspiring, each was more talented than the next. There was a slight book, but the show was all about the songs. And what songs they were: On Broadway, Uptown, Walkin' In The Rain, Make Your Own Kind Of Music, I'm Gonna Be Strong, Blame It On The Bossa Nova, to name a few. I can't find any info online, which I assume didn't have a life after its initial run. Did anyone see it? What were your recollections? I used to save every program but I recently did a purge. God, I hope that wasn't one of them. It truly was in my top 10 NYC theatrical experiences. I recall the acoustics at the venue were perfect. | |

| It was spring of 1986 and the revue was called JUST ONCE. A friend of mine was in the cast. The flimsy and unnecessary book probably hurt its chances of a continued life, but the singers were some the top session singers in NYC at the time (Curtis King, Jr., Vivian Cherry, Ula Hedwig among others) and the musical numbers soared. The night I saw it, Mann and Weil were in the audience taking notes. | |

| I remember the Ellie Greenwich revue at the Bottom Line with Darlene Love, Annie Golden and Patty Darcy that became Leader of the Pack on Broadway. | |

| I saw a revue with Mann and Weil at the Second Stage UWS location. I think that it was getting ready for Broadway, and then nothing happened. The dup sang their catalog of hit songs. J |
