It was spring of 1986 and the revue was called JUST ONCE. A friend of mine was in the cast. The flimsy and unnecessary book probably hurt its chances of a continued life, but the singers were some the top session singers in NYC at the time (Curtis King, Jr., Vivian Cherry, Ula Hedwig among others) and the musical numbers soared. The night I saw it, Mann and Weil were in the audience taking notes.
