Extraordinary work at the Atlantic

I found The Days of Wine and Roses to be every reason I came to live in NYC and see challenging and moving theatre. Every element was near to perfection and there are no two better performers to do this show than the leads. Kelli continues to amaze me. She is truly an intelligent actor with a voice that thrills and excites. Brian is just as good. The staging, the music, the design and the cast were all dazzling. It's a difficult subject to deal with and there were a lot of tears from the audience and from myself, too. However, this is why I decided to be in the theatre--to explore, to experiment, to go someplace new and to see talented people completely dedicated to their work. I felt I'd gone to heaven watching it and it wasn't an easy ride . The mean people on this site will or may complain, but I'd love to see them attempt to take the journey these people are taking in this show. Nothing is perfect (well, this cast is), and the marriage of these two main characters is hard to watch. However, I felt for them and felt I was living their lives with them. Yes, we can make things better, but theatre should make us think and feel--therefore I'm very thankful for what I saw and experienced at The Atlantic.
