I hadn't realized before your message that there were only 7 Leading performances in a Play on Broadway nominated by the Drama Desk (if you count Comer), and 5 of them were also nominated by the Outer Critics Circle, so there was quite a bit of overlap between the two groups. Of those 5, Hiran Abeysekera is the only one who did not get Tony-nominated.
Others this year who got OCC and DD noms but no Tony nom were Danielle Brooks, Sharon D Clarke, and Anna Uzele. |
