Fascinating and ultimately quite sad

That was a fascinating read. I was actually following Grissom on Facebook without even realizing it. His Follies of God FB group kept hitting my suggested feed and was filled with seemingly fabulous quotes from 20th century luminaries that I followed it without knowing it was tied to Grissom and the similarly titled Williams book. And, then, the quotes started to sound similar to one another and I stopped reading them, assuming it was just another of thousands of FB groups with dubiously sourced material.

I found the last paragraph -- evoking the young Grissom's unrealized dreams -- strangely moving.
