I loved this show as a kid, and I don't think I've seen it since. I'm sure you're right that the comedy bits haven't aged well, but I fondly remember Julie through video magic sharing the screen with and trying to negotiate a peace between Eliza Doolittle and Mary Poppins. I didn't mind the recycling. I also recall an episode with Robert Goulet in which they were both wonderful.
