The entire theatre is transformed into a club space. The Mendes/Marshall production, yes, took steps in that direction, but to nowhere near the extent that this one does. There'll be a fair amount of rebuilding inside the auditorium, which will be transformed into an ersatz recreation of a Weimar-era nightclub. That's more or less all the set there is, apart from a few pieces of furniture, but the production's concept is that the 'experience' begins from the moment you enter the building, rather than at 8pm when the house lights go down.

(A lot of people liked the London iteration a lot more than I did, but I will give it this: the reconfigured auditorium is beautiful.)
