The 75th Annual Tony Awards are up for Outstanding Variety Special (Live) and Lighting Design.
And ''Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter and Love'' is up for Outstanding Variety Special (Pre-Recorded).
Apple TV+'s ''Schmigadoon!'' got 3 Emmy nominations for Choreography, Cinematography and Production Design. I'm surprised that Cinco Paul, who won last year's Emmy for Original Music and Lyrics for Season 1, didn't get nominated this time. And I'm disappointed that Jane Krakowski didn't score an Emmy nomination for Supporting Actress in a Comedy, but her musical tour de force, ''Bells and Whistles,'' was one of the three numbers cited in Chris Gattelli's choreography nomination. (The other two were ''Bustin' Out'' and ''Good Enough to Eat,'' the brilliant ''Sweeney Todd'' spoof.)
Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider are up for comedy writing for their funny ''Cary and Brooke Go to an AIDS Play'' episode on ''The Other Two.''
I won't even begin to mention the multitude of theater actors nominated for Emmys, but BroadwayWorld.com (below) takes a crack at it.
