| if Ethel Merman had allowed him to write the music to "Gypsy" in addition to the lyrics! That is, assuming that it would have been the hit it was with Jule Styne's music. Sondheim was reportedly driving Hepburn nuts when he was composing and repeating over and over "You Could Drive a Person Crazy" Or he could have maybe bought out her place. |
