She has a sweetness and accessibility that, I think, would work perfectly for the role. And I think the tone of her voice would likely serve the score better than Clark's heavier sound.
I don't think she'd ever replace in a show as small as Kimberly Akimbo, but I do think Bernadette Peters would have been very interesting casting to open the show. |
