I did too and I was curious if they were presenting the material in its original form or in some revised version (it went through a lot of post-Broadway revision). As I said, I thought that the version I saw in Philadephia was an improvement. I've heard that the version seen in London was a disaster.
Fontana seems ideal for the role, but Boggess was a curious choice. The role doesn't really require the sort of soprano that she's known for and she's also not known as a dancer. |
