| While I too won't be seeing this, I have to disagree with your thought that "no one will come to this show." WE--readers on ATC--have "been warned." But theatergoers elsewhere WILL go to see PAL JOEY because of the famous title and because of the Rodgers and Hart score. Which explains why--in answer to another poster on this thread--the title of this work has not been changed. Nor a new score written. The people in charge of this concoction know only too well they can't come up with songs anywhere as good and a title like PAL JOEY is a known and successful one. Onto both they are grafting their new story. |
