Back in 1981 there was a simply gorgeous revival of BRIGADOON on Broadway (at the Majestic Theatre) that starred Martin Vidnovic and Meg Bussert. It got glorious reviews but was "forced" out ("frozen out") by David Merrick who wanted to move his production of 42nd STREET into that theatre. And even more unfortunately - the show was never recorded. That was a real shame since the vocals were stunning by all!

I completely agree. I loved that Brigadoon in '81. It featured ice skater John Curry as Harry Beaton. And trivia*: It was Jerry Mitchell's Broadway debut.

*apologies; it wasn't "trivial," as I originally posted.
