I love when I get that "are you really" response, because it's very clear to me they've missed to pint of the post. No, I'm not "comparing" them. I just picked two titles where I doubt we'd see Lucille and Tony without a lot of "WHO??" and "WHY??" going on. What shows would YOU pick to blithely put Lucille and Tony into? And why do they get special compensation to jump into Pal Joey? :-)
For that matter - this isn't quite the same, but -- I'd seriously love to know why the character of Bonnie, who survived over 50 years of being Moonface's sidekick in Anything Goes, all of a sudden got renamed Erma. Erma?? What was wrong with Bonnie? They didn't change Billy to Irving, or Reno to Hortense...but Erma? :-) |
