It didn’t help when Pal Joey ‘78 was produced in LA. And that starred Lena Horne! They updated it and used disco arrangements. Poor Lena sang Bewitched Bothered and Bewildered a dozen times throughout the evening. It was a real stinker. A happy ending however. Just about a year later Horne brought her triumphant Lady and her Music to Broadway and slayed!
