songs and patter; blues and some(not exclusively) show tunes, the only patter line i remember was one along the lines of 'for those of you who are expecting the revelation that occurred when you first heard a Sondheim song, this isn't that show' and of course she later gave splendid perfs in GYPSY and FOLLIES.
Her husband "Carson' was in attendance on the Tues and Fri nite shows and the patter varied. It was my first visit to a Swellegant New York Supper Club . |
