| Krysta Rodriguez joined the tour (currently in L.A.) as Cinderella this past Thursday and in the performance that I saw today, she was absolutely exquisite. Funny and very emotionally grounded, just a wonderful performance. This was my second time seeing this at the Ahmanson this month and oh, my, it is delicious. Great cast, great fun and very very heartfelt. Also the Gavin Creel of it all is not to be missed. | |

| Agreed! Krysta Rodriguez is next-level. An emotionally rich and nuanced performance. And her legit soprano (which I'd not previously heard) is every bit as effortless as her belt. | |

| Busy woman! She finished CABARET at Barrington Stage on July 8, and joined INTO THE WOODS (on the opposite side of the country) on July 13. No rest for the wicked, I suppose. I enjoyed Diane Phelan's heartfelt and well-sung performance when I saw the tour in Philadelphia, but I would have loved the opportunity to see Rodriguez as well. | |

| Yes, Phelan was lovely but as good as she was, Rodriguez brought even greater depth to the role--and especially to "No One Is Alone" which literally had me in tears. Just exquisite. There was a talk-back afterwards with some of the cast, and she mentioned having just wrapped CABARET (which used a very different style of singing) and had to shift into soprano mode (which, as the poster above notes, which rather stunning and not something I had heard from her before). Gavin Creel continues to absolutely slay as Prince Charming as well as the Wolf. | |
