| Yes, Phelan was lovely but as good as she was, Rodriguez brought even greater depth to the role--and especially to "No One Is Alone" which literally had me in tears. Just exquisite. There was a talk-back afterwards with some of the cast, and she mentioned having just wrapped CABARET (which used a very different style of singing) and had to shift into soprano mode (which, as the poster above notes, which rather stunning and not something I had heard from her before). Gavin Creel continues to absolutely slay as Prince Charming as well as the Wolf. |
