A good friend who is associated with the development of the show, knowing that I enjoyed the TV series, invited me to the reading yesterday. I was extremely impressed. To begin with, the script is very funny, laugh out loud funny. They introduce it as a comedy about a musical. Second, it's not just a rehash of the show, it departs from it in many unexpected and interesting ways. Some of Mark Shaimon's music is the same, but there are several brand new songs. There are some characters that have been removed and some that have been added. The cast of the reading was great and Bonnie Mulligan was sensational. I hope that she opens in the show when it gets to Broadway, which is now expected to be spring, 2025. I can easily see this musical a very successful.

By the way, because I'm on a desktop, the box in which I have to compose this post is about 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches. To say that it's a pain in the ass would be an understatement. How long is it going to take to get this site fixed? The sooner the better.
