Seeing A Night to Remember at my local cinema in 1958 was my introduction to David McCallum. He (and others, led by Kenneth More) survived the Titanic sinking by standing precariously for hours on the hull of a floating upside down lifeboat.
I was a huge fan of him as Illya Kuryakin in Uncle. He was even memorable as Duncan, the father of one of Carrie's boyfriends in Sex and the City. I've watched him for the last 20 years as Ducky in NCIS. |
