I liked Taran Killam in Little Shop of Horrors at City Center, glad he's back on stage. But it feels harsh to call James Monroe Iglehart an immediate no. To me, he was the highlight of both Aladdin and Hercules.
Spamalot did have a pretty starry cast when it opened and I laughed enough - but it came at the end of a run of Best Musical-winning comedies which all had more heart: The Producers, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Hairspray, and Avenue Q.
Then again, I love this website's retro feel. It's simple and clean. And let's be honest, if it weren't from 1998 it wouldn't be called All That Chat. If it launched more recently it would be maybe The Chat Room Where It Happens? |
