On the eve of ''Here We Are's'' first preview, Michael Riedel interviewed Jonathan Tunick for Air Mail, and he reports:

''Tunick can’t discuss 'Here We Are' just yet — everybody on the show had to sign a confidentiality agreement that runs until its first preview, on September 28, at the Shed in New York—but sources say he has taken sketches of Sondheim songs and fleshed them out for the second act.''

However, the EGOT-winning Tunick, 85, recalls how he met Sondheim; their incredible collaboration through the years, and the last sweet time he enjoyed Sondheim's company in 2021.
