What do you do after being on SNL??
You do what countless, SNL alums-- huge breakout stars and lesser stars of the show-- have done since the show began. And i mean genuinely you could barely count how many SNL performers have done this...
You go and do movies and TV shows...
As an actor and/or as a writer or both.
Taran was usually great on SNL. He was never the breakout star that a Kate McKinnon or a Maya Rudolph and even a Fred Armisen was, or even Chris Kattan who had more or bigger breakout characters (which many loved and many hated)...
He left (or was not renewed, I don't remember which) and had many other projects going as a writer and actor, including TV series and film and stage work. I think a lot of them just didn't pan out to being made and put out there, and I'm sure that Covid derailed many of this things too. Who knows. I don't think there's a clamoring for him the way there was for Will Ferrell or Kristin Wiig, for example.
I am not worried about him. He's still working. And better, he's not damaging his career with terrible stuff. |
